March 8, 2016--The UCLA CTSI has announced it is seeking a nurse Unit Director of clinical research services to develop, implement, manage and administer pediatric and adult clinical research trial protocols in the UCLA-Westwood Clinical and Translational Research Center (CTRC).

The Unit Director will interface with federal and corporate sponsors, inpatient and outpatient facilities, departments, and personnel to assure a collaborative environment and high quality outcomes. The director will also oversee and conduct clinical research participant evaluations and overall study management, and will supervise, train, and schedule CTRC coordinators and research nurses. The director is responsible for a six bed inpatient area in Ronald Reagan Medical Center and for an eleven room, 23 hour ambulatory unit located in the B level of the Center for Health Services. Additionally, the director is responsible for up to 11 FTE and per-diem nursing staff, two medical assistants, six research study coordinators, and an administrative specialist.
