Dr. Shulamite Green is an Assistant Professor in Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences at UCLA. Dr. Green is also a licensed clinical psychologist and works as the autism specialist for UCLA's TIES for Families program for families adopting children from foster care. Dr. Green's research integrates neuroimaging, psychophysiological, and behavioral methods to identify individual differences in risk markers and outcomes in high-risk developmental populations, and she has received multiple NIH fellowships and awards to study the neural bases of heterogeneity in Autism Spectrum Disorders, with a focus on sensory over-responsivity. Current research goals include 1) identify the neurobiological and physiological mechanisms underlying sensory processing difficulties; 2) determine whether these mechanisms are shared or distinct across risk groups; 3) examine how sensory processing affects higher-level cognition such as attention, social functioning, and executive functioning; and 4) use this information to inform identification and treatment of children at high risk for sensory processing difficulties.

Altmetrics Details PMC Citations indicate the number of times the publication was cited by articles in PubMed Central, and the Altmetric score represents citations in news articles and social media. (Note that publications are often cited in additional ways that are not shown here.) Fields are based on how the National Library of Medicine (NLM) classifies the publication's journal and might not represent the specific topic of the publication. Translation tags are based on the publication type and the MeSH terms NLM assigns to the publication. Some publications (especially newer ones and publications not in PubMed) might not yet be assigned Field or Translation tags.) Click a Field or Translation tag to filter the publications.
