The JHU-Tufts Trial Innovation Center is inviting investigators who are interested in pursuing innovative clinical trial designs to participate in its annual Innovations in Clinical Effectiveness Study Design Lab. These two one-day sessions bring stakeholders together in a collaborative, confidential, case-based workshop to focus on innovations in clinical effectiveness trial design. This is done in the service of getting a new treatment, or a new purpose for an extant treatment, to the marketplace. Design Lab attendees include the presenting investigator team, as well as participants from regulatory agencies, industry, payers, patient representatives, clinicians, and other academics.
The Clinical Effectiveness Study Design Lab is focused on building clinical trial designs and development pathways that have the best chance of bringing treatments into optimal use and therefore having a positive impact on health. This is a great opportunity for investigators who are considering integrating efficacy and effectiveness in a single trial or approaching effectiveness data collection in an innovative way.
The Design Lab will be held on June 29-30, 2020, and the deadline for submission of brief proposals is 2pm PT / 5pm ET, January 30, 2020.
