CTSI invites UCLA faculty on the Westwood campus to pilot the University of California Research eXchange (UC- ReX), an electronic system for estimating the size of potential research study cohorts. Users can search de-identified information on 11 million patients from all five UC medical centers (Davis, Irvine, Los Angeles, San Diego and San Francisco) to retrieve counts of patients who meet proposed inclusion/exclusion criteria. Information currently available includes billing diagnosis, procedures performed, and patient demographics, including age, gender, race/ethnicity, language and religion.
More Information:
Priority will be given to faculty preparing NIH proposals for June submission.
Pilots for faculty from other CTSI partner institutions will be offered at a later date.
