Inside the CTSI Clinical & Translational Research Center: Supporting Patients Through Clinical Trials
CTSI’s own Clinical & Translational Research Center (CTRC) was featured in a recent article in the UCLA Health Newsroom highlighting the incredible work that goes into supporting groundbreaking clinical trials at UCLA.
Patients like Marsh Bull, who turned to a clinical trial after being diagnosed with a serious blood disorder, look to the CTRC for help navigating difficult diagnoses and finding new options. Bull, who was featured in a previous CTSI interview about his treatment journey, says the CTRC eventually became a place he looked forward to. “I think the key to the CTRC is the personal attention you get,” Bull said. “They're a special group and it’s fun to be there. It's a little capsule of safety and joy.”
With the hard work and dedication of individuals like unit director Marjorie Weiman, RN, MSN, and Noah Federman, MD medical director, the CTRC continues to support patients while advancing research that brings new therapies closer to the bedside.
