From bench to bedside, UC’s clinical and translational science institutes are saving lives

Clinical and Translational Science Institutes (CTSIs) turn scientific discoveries into real-world health solutions. The University of California is home to five CTSIs at University of California, Davis, UCLA, UC Irvine, UC San Diego and University of California, San Francisco, each one advancing research to address critical health care needs across California and the nation.

Whether they're providing new treatments for cancer, finding new ways to treat diabetes, or using telehealth to support parents of children with autism, UC CTSIs are bridging the gap between cutting-edge science and medical breakthroughs. Their groundbreaking work, supported by NIH’s CTSA program, helps provide critical access to life-changing care.

Together, the five UC CTSIs are turning lab discoveries into life-changing treatments.
