CTSI community engagement program and leadership receive chancellor’s award
Dr. Arleen Brown and the Community Engagement and Research Program has received the inaugural UCLA Chancellor's Award for Community-Engaged Research, to develop a new undergraduate research course on community engagement. This award allows for curriculum development of an undergraduate course on methods and strategies for community-engaged research, partnering students with local community organizations throughout Los Angeles County. The course will build on the extensive academic-community partnerships of CERP, and unique community leader partnerships, to train a new cohort of students in research methods that can benefit the communities of LA.
