CTSI leadership to speak at UCLA health data day
UCLA Health Information Technology and UCLA CTSI are hosting the UCLA Health Data Day on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at the UCLA Luskin Conference Center. The goal of Data Day is to highlight UCLA Health's data analytics and research compute capabilities that are now available to help analysts, researchers and other stakeholders across the organization gain new insights from our data assets.
The morning session of UCLA Health Data Day will consist of updates in the following areas:
- Health system leadership opening remarks
- New capabilities
- UCLA Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI)
- Basic sciences research
- UCLA Institute for Precision Health
- Computational Medicine
- Data analytics resources and capabilities
- Discovery Data Mart
The afternoon session of UCLA Health Data Day will consist of breakout sessions focusing on two themes:
- Data science ecosystem
- From innovation to commercialization
Notable speakers include Dr. Steven Dubinett, director of the UCLA CTSI, and Dr. Dan Geschwind, program leader for the CTSI precision health program. The event will conclude with a panel discussion on the future of data analytics at UCLA and across UC Health.
