Denise Aberle

Dr. Aberle, Professor of Radiology and Bioengineering at UCLA, is one of ten researchers to receive the prestigious 2014 Clinical Research Achievement Award from Clinical Research Forum for her work with "Results of the Two Incidence Screenings in the National Lung Screen Trial" which developed screening protocols for lung cancer.

The Clinical Research Forum was formed in 1996 to discuss the unique and complex challenges to clinical research in academic health centers. Over the past decade, it has convened leaders in clinical research annually and has provided a forum for discussing common issues and interests in the full spectrum of translational research. Through its activities, the Forum has enabled sharing of best practices in clinical research and increasingly has played a national advocacy role in support of the broader interests and needs of clinical research.
