Leveraging Amazing Undergraduates in Clinical Research (LAUNCH)
LAUNCH aims to address workforce shortages by providing STEM post-baccalaureate candidates with opportunities to join the workforce as clinical research coordinators. LAUNCH Fellows receive one-year of weekly mentorship from the UCLA Office of Clinical Research.
Boot Camp (UCLA Office of Clinical Research)
The UCLA Office of Clinical Research (OCR) offers OCR Boot Camp, a hands-on training program designed to equip staff with the critical skills and institutional tools needed to successfully manage clinical research projects at UCLA Health. OCR Boot Camp provides a comprehensive overview of the essential components of clinical research management at UCLA Health. The program combines theoretical knowledge with practical experience. The intimate class size fosters in-depth discussions and personalized guidance, allowing participants to benefit from the collective expertise of their peers.
EDGE (EDucation for Gcp Excellence)
EDGE equips PIs with cutting-edge tools and best practices to lead pioneering clinical research projects within our institution, while also offering vital support to pull back and reorient those PIs on the edge of project obstructions due to safety risks or operational complexity.
Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) Certificate Course
The Clinical Research Coordinator Certificate Course provides a foundation in clinical research conduct, including current operational and institutional best practice. The certificate course curriculum follows the lifecycle of a clinical research study and places emphasis the core GCP tenants of participant safety and data integrity throughout the curriculum.
Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
The CITI Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Optional Modules Course is a 13-module program that discusses good clinical practice as it relates to clinical trials of both drugs/biologics as well as devices. The GCP modules are described below and are intended for use by research personnel involved in conducting drug, device, or biologic studies and should be taken in the order they are listed. The optional course takes approximately 4 hours to complete.
