The Los Angeles Times reported on a $7.2 million grant awarded to UCLA that will fund research into mystery diseases as part of the NIH's Undiagnosed Diseases Network. Dr. Katrina Dipple, an associate professor of human genetics and an assistant professor of pediatrics, Dr. Eric Vilain, director of the UCLA Institute for Society and Genetics, and Dr. Stan Nelson, professor of human genetics and co-director of the UCLA Center for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, were quoted.
