New video provides information about NCATS aspire design challenges
Researchers interested in learning more about the NCATS ASPIRE (A Specialized Platform for Innovative Research Exploration) Design Challenges—part of the NIH HEAL (Helping to End Addiction Long-term) Initiative—can now access a new NCATS informational video. The video provides provides an overview of the NIH HEAL Initiative which is led by NCATS Director, Christopher P. Austin. Additionally, it goes into detail about each of the 5 Challenges as well as key dates, rules and requirements for participation.
The Challenges (listed below) are designed to reward innovative approaches toward revolutionizing the discovery, development and pre-clinical testing of next-generation treatments for pain, opioid use disorder and overdose.

- Challenge 3: Predictive Algorithms
- Challenge 4: Biological Assays
- Challenge 5: Integrated Solutions
