UCLA investigators, Drs. Gregg Fonarow in Cardiology and Jeffrey Saver in Neurology, were named among those to receive one of the top three distinguished awards at the April 16-17, 2015 Clinical Research Forum Annual Meeting held in Washington, D.C. Their awarded research, facilitated in part by CTSI infrastructure, focuses on door-to-needle times for tissue plasminogen activator administration and clinical outcomes in acute ischemic stroke before and after a quality improvement initiative. The Clinical Research Forum is a consortium of academic health centers working collaboratively with industry and IT partners to provide leadership to the national clinical and translational research enterprise and promote understanding and support for clinical research and its impact on health and healthcare. 53 nominations were received from 30 organizations.
