ACTS

The Community Partners in Care (CPIC) Steering Council and its predecessor, the Witness 4 Wellness Council, have been awarded the 2014 Team Science Award by the Association for Clinical and Translational Science in recognition of the team's success in the translation of research discoveries for the treatment of depression into clinical applications and eventual widespread clinical practice. FSPH Professor-in-Residence Kenneth Wells lead the team recognized for its 10-year commitment. Dr. Bowen Chung, Assistant Professor In-Residence in Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences at UCLA and investigator in CTSI's Community Engagement and Research Program, presented the results from CPIC at the 2014 joint ACTS-AFMR Translational Science Annual Meeting to be held in Washington DC on April 9-11, 2014.
