CTSI congratulates poster competition winners of UC DDC symposium
CTSI co-sponsored the second annual UC Drug Discovery Consortium (UC DDC) Symposium hosted by the UCLA California NanoSystems Institute on October 4-5, 2018. The event offered plenary lectures from leaders in drug discovery, poster presentations from UC researchers, perspectives on drug development from industry plus networking breaks to the 170 attendees.
Among the invited participants were CTSI partner institution researchers plus UC faculty, students, post-doctoral fellows and staff with research interests in drug discovery and development at any stage. Pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry experts with interest in ongoing UC drug discovery projects–along with other career professionals interested in networking with UC drug discovery researchers–were also encouraged to attend.
CTSI sponsored the poster session competition and awarded the top three presenters with CTSI Translational Science Awards. Below are the poster awardees.
- First Place
Khyati Shah, UC San Francisco
“Aurora Kinase A Drives the Evolution of Resistance to Third Generation EGFR Inhibitors in Lung Cancer” - Second Place
