NIH heal initiative funding opportunities announced
NIH recently released more than 30 funding opportunities to solicit the best and brightest research ideas as part of the NIH HEAL (Helping to End Addiction Long-term) Initiative. NIH plans to award more than $502 million in support of HEAL initiative research in fiscal year (FY) 2019, bolstering existing research in the areas of addiction, pain, complementary medicine and more to accelerate scientific solutions to the national opioid crisis.
With NIH HEAL Initiative support, NCATS is providing a suite of translational science resources and expertise to investigators working on opioid and pain research.
