NIH has recently updated its format and guidelines for biosketches, to be effective on all applications beginning May 25, 2015. With this new format come questions about how to update current biosketches for both new and experienced investigators. How much effort will it really take to revise your biosketch? The CTSI Rapid Response Team (Grant Submission Unit) recently hosted a webinar on this topic which is now available online. In the webinar, the following is covered:

  • Review of the basic changes to the new biosketch
  • Overview of investigator responsibilities, discussion of techniques and approaches to use (for both seasoned and new investigators)
  • Administrative responsibilities and considerations
  • Issues to consider when choosing a URL for a full list of published works

Along with the webinar, the Rapid Response Team also provides a helpful checklist to guide revisions of biosketches from the old format into the new. Other helpful biosketch documents and additional RRT information and services can be found on the CTSI RRT page.
