This year's anticipated UCLA CTSI Clinical and Translational Research Workshop focuses on grant and clinical protocol development and has a record 34 students registered from the partners institutions and Children's Hospital Los Angeles. CTSI Training Program Director, Dr. Isidro Salusky stated "this growth in enrollment demonstrates how relevant and needed this program is for Los Angeles County." The summer workshop will also serve registrants from University of Southern California which is home to another CTSA program. Starting July 15, registered junior faculty and senior fellows will be experiencing an intensive 2-week CTSI workshop in clinical study design, grants, protocols and translational research at UCLA and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.  The curriculum is designed to update the knowledge base for clinical research and clinical protocol development and students will be expected to work on their own grants and clinical protocols throughout both weeks of the program. Classes will conclude with student presentations and group discussions held at Cedars-Sinai on July 26.

This course is closed to new students for the 2013 session but a 2014 workshop will open for enrollment in Spring 2014.
