Background:
Shreya Huilgol (she/her) received her B.A. in Cognitive and Linguistic Sciences from Wellesley College. Prior to pursuing her PhD in Health Policy and Management at UCLA, she was a research assistant at RAND. She is interested in understanding how organizational factors affect successful technological, care process, and system innovation adoption and how health care systems can address these factors to improve care quality and patient outcomes. She previously worked on an NIH-funded grant examining innovation implementation and dissemination in emergency departments during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as an AHRQ-funded project evaluating health equity interventions for managing urinary incontinence among women in primary care practices. Shreya plans to be a health services researcher who betters health care organizations, those who work within them, and the patients they serve.
