The University of California Biomedical Research Acceleration, Integration and Development (UC BRAID) has reported its program highlights for 2023. Comprised of five medical campuses across the UC system (Davis, Irvine, Los Angeles, San Diego and San Francisco), the UC BRAID consortium aims to accelerate research and improve health through collaboration, sharing resources, and infrastructure development.
This past year's UC BRAID highlights include:
- A successful UC BRAID Leadership Retreat, held on July 10, 2023 at the University of Irvine (UCI), which brought together leaders across the UC system to discuss and evaluate UC BRAID's strategic goals, projects, and initiatives;
- An ongoing collaboration with the UC Cancer Consortium to launch a new pilot that will develop a unified Coverage Analysis process for multisite studies to increase efficiency in launching trials;
- The CDI2/UC BRAID Health Data Warehouse Recruitment Pilot Project, which launched in October 2023 with a Request for Proposals that received applications from 9 project teams;
