UCLA Health leadership invites UCLA Health faculty, staff, trainees, students and volunteers to the third “Conversations with Leadership: Steps to Advance Racial Equity” session on Tuesday, November 24 at 11am. To promote greater inclusion of our UCLA Health community, our sessions will now include real-time Spanish and American Sign Language interpretation as well as closed captioning for anyone that desires these services.
During the first two “Conversations with Leadership” events, we listened to the experiences and concerns of different people of color from across UCLA Health. We also reviewed the results of the UCLA Health EDI Climate Survey. In our continued efforts to build understanding, unity and inclusivity, we will invite some of our white colleagues to speak about their own journeys to understand and embrace principles of equity, diversity and inclusion and what they are doing in their personal and professional lives to be allies and agents for change. We will also discuss our ongoing work at UCLA Health to achieve racial equity through anti-racist and anti-bias efforts.
