CTSI invites you to read the compelling opinion piece in STAT by Dr. Carlos Oronce on the absence of disaggregated COVID-19 data for Asian Americans and how this has contributed to disparities and hindered an equitable response in healthcare for Filipinxs.
Oronce is a member of the UCLA Value-Based Care Research Consortium, an initiative funded by the CTSI Integrating Special Populations Program. He is also a recipient of a Center for Health Improvement of Minority Elderly (a Resource Center for Minority Aging Research (RCMAR-CHIME)) and CTSI pilot award for his work on describing racial disparities in the provision of low-value care among older adults within the University of California self-funded preferred provider organization plan.
