Grad STRIVE 2.0 aims to provide students with a series of support and retention resources that building a strong community of scholars who will persist, collaborate, and succeed throughout the duration of their academic careers at UCLA. This is achieved through 1-on-1 peer mentoring (Grad2Grad), networking opportunities, and a suite of workshops designed to support student success.

Grad2Grad is the mentoring arm of Grad STRIVE 2.0. It currently serves mentees who are first-year doctoral students from pathway programs including, among others, Eugene V. Cota Robles, CSU-Sally Casanova Predoctoral graduates, McNair scholars, and Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) scholars. Mentees are paired with a more established doctoral student (2nd year and beyond) as a mentor. Grad2Grad provides a space for mentees to build a support network and the opportunity to learn from a mentor’s experience.
