Overview
The UCLA Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) endeavors to address Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) in all of its program areas by:
- creating or supporting programs related to EDI
- providing resources and funding opportunities for a diverse group of investigators, employees, and students
- highlighting news and events dedicated to EDI
This is accomplished via community engagement, integration of special populations, workforce development, and a newly launched Diversity in Research Program.
Dr. Keith Norris leads our diversity plan efforts to increase the number and quality of scientific career on-ramps for trainees and helps reach out to our faculty from underrepresented minorities (URM)/disadvantaged backgrounds and ensure they are made aware of and given priority for CTSI resources.
