Program Administration is a sub-section of the 25-page Program Plan’s “B. Program Plan” component. Explain how the leadership team will promote a successful program and trainees. Include the following:
Program Director (PD/PI) Information
- Describe PD/PIs’:
- Qualifications and capacity for effective leadership of this program*
- Demonstrated commitment to training and how previous mentoring experiences will support the program’s success
- PD/PIs must have received, or have a plan to receive, training on effective mentoring practices that promote trainee success and foster inclusive, safe, and supportive research training environments prior the start of the program
- Scientific background, expertise, and administrative and training experience to provide strong leadership, direction, management, and administration*Percent effort committed
- Note: Multiple PD/PIs from unique backgrounds are recommended to enhance diversity in training material and perspectives; if multiple PD/PIs are proposed, you must also complete the Multiple PD/PI Leadership Plan
*This information should also be mentioned in each PD/PIs’ biosketch.
Administrative Information
Demonstrate that the program has an appropriate structure and distribution of responsibilities to support ongoing training operations.
- Strategy and administrative structure to oversee and monitor the program
- How the PD/PI(s) will obtain continuing advice with respect to the operation of the program
Page Limit: Must fit within the Program Plan’s 25 page maximum. About 5 pages.
